Ingredients
Scale
- 2 tablespoons butter or vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1 (10-ounce) bag marshmallows
- 2 cups (about 12 ounces) chocolate chips
- 6 cups crispy rice cereal or any cereal
- Powdered sugar for dipping
Instructions
- Line a 9×13-inch pan with foil and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the butter, peanut butter, marshmallows, and chocolate chips. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until fully melted and smooth. If the mixture seizes, stir in 1-2 additional tablespoons of butter.
- Quickly fold in the crispy rice cereal, mixing until evenly coated.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared pan and press it firmly and evenly. Let cool until set.
- Pour about 1 cup of powdered sugar into a bowl. Cut the cooled mixture into squares, then dip each square into the powdered sugar to coat. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store the treats in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
