Description
Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies are small, bite-sized treats packed with chocolate chips. They are quick to make and perfect for snacking.
Ingredients
Scale
- ½ cup unsalted butter at room temperature
- ½ cup brown sugar packed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 3 egg yolks from large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1½ cups mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg yolks one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Fold in the mini chocolate chips.
- For a more mounded cookie, chill the dough for 10-15 minutes, or use immediately for a flatter cookie.
- Roll the dough into thumb-thick logs and cut into ¾-inch pieces to form small dough balls, or pinch off small uniform portions about ½ teaspoon each and gently roll into balls.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet about 1 inch apart.
- Bake for 5-8 minutes, until edges are lightly golden and centers still soft.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Chilling the dough helps create thicker cookies.
- Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
