- 3 cups good quality dark chocolate, broken into pieces
- 1 cup Rice Krispies (or Rice Bubbles)
- ¼ cup M&M’s candy
- ½ cup Maltesers, Whoppers, or malt balls
- ⅓ cup Kit Kat bars, chopped
Instructions
- Prep your pan: Grease and line an 8-inch square baking tin with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal. Set aside.
- Melt the chocolate: Place the dark chocolate pieces in a large microwave-safe mixing bowl. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring between each interval, until just melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
- Add cereal: Add the Rice Krispies to the melted chocolate and quickly stir until all the cereal is completely coated in chocolate.
- Press into pan: Transfer the chocolate-cereal mixture into your prepared pan and press down firmly with a spatula to create an even layer.
- Add toppings: Scatter the M&M’s, malt balls, and chopped Kit Kat pieces evenly over the top. Press them in slightly so they stick to the chocolate.
- Set: Refrigerate the slice for at least one hour, or until the chocolate is completely set and firm.
- Cut and serve: Use the parchment overhang to lift the slice out of the pan. Cut into squares with a sharp knife and enjoy. Store refrigerated for up to 5 days.
