Description

Easy homemade donuts made with just two main ingredients and coated in cinnamon sugar.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • Oil for frying
  • 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil: Fill a heavy pot with 3 inches of oil and heat over medium-high heat.
  2. Make the dough: In a bowl, mix self-raising flour and Greek yogurt to form a dough. Knead for 1 minute on a floured surface.
  3. Shape the donuts: Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls.
  4. Check oil temperature: Ensure it reaches 180°C (350°F) or test with one donut first.
  5. Fry in batches: Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  6. Coat in cinnamon sugar: Toss warm donuts in the sugar mixture.
