- 1 1/2 cups self-raising flour
- 1 cup Greek yogurt
- Oil for frying
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Heat the oil: Fill a heavy pot with 3 inches of oil and heat over medium-high heat.
- Make the dough: In a bowl, mix self-raising flour and Greek yogurt to form a dough. Knead for 1 minute on a floured surface.
- Shape the donuts: Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls.
- Check oil temperature: Ensure it reaches 180°C (350°F) or test with one donut first.
- Fry in batches: Cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
- Coat in cinnamon sugar: Toss warm donuts in the sugar mixture.
